Agnes Hanning - pioneer, trailblazer, innovator.
Before founder and owner Agnes Hanning launched Miez & Maunz in 2017, professional cat sitting was still in its infancy. Back then, there were individual, often private offers in local advertising papers, which were characterized by a lot of good will, but mostly by even more half-knowledge. Legal questions remained just as unanswered as liability issues, elaborate care concepts for the different needs of different types of cats were almost completely lacking, and there was practically no targeted knowledge transfer through training courses for cat sitters.
Today, everything is different. Miez & Maunz has since looked after thousands of cats in a needs-oriented manner, trained hundreds of cat sitters, established a Germany-wide franchise system and thus raised cat sitting to a completely new, professional level in all respects. Agnes Hanning herself has now retired from day-to-day business, managing Miez & Maunz from the background, advising the franchise partners and passionately pursuing her passion - passing on extensive knowledge in seminars and webinars. As a board member of the animal welfare organization Together we care e.V., she is committed to the welfare of animals and has established a permanent animal welfare project, the Animal Lodge, in Jamaica.
